Day 1 - Kitulgala

You will be picked up in Colombo by our chauffeur and transfer you to Dickoya and on the way you would be able to take part in White water rafting adventure followed by a rice and curry lunch at one of the adventure camps in Kitulgala. On this day you will be staying in a colonial Tea estate bungalow in a working Tea estate closer to Adam’s Peak. Enjoy your dinner and go to bed early as we have a long day tomorrow.

Day 2 - Adam's Peak

Wake up early as 1 AM and be driven to the foot hills of Adam's Peak to start hiking to the summit of Adam's Peak with a picnic breakfast and refreshment pack. During the pilgrimage season from December to May, you will be able to witness centuries old pilgrimage rituals of Buddhists devotees in Sri Lanka as they climb to summit to worship Lord Buddha's footsteps. Witness a glorious sunset from the summit before descending to the foot hills where you will be driven back to tea estate Bungalow in Dickoya for a day to relax and regenerate your energy, after enjoying your lunch at the bungalow. As the bungalow is situated in a working Tea estate, you would be able to walk in the Tea gardens and get the first-hand experience of Tea plucking with the fellow tea estate workers. If time permits, you could also visit a Tea factory to see how World’s best, Ceylon Tea is produced. Dinner and overnight stay at Tea estate bungalow.

Day 3 - Haputale

After breakfast, be driven to Hatton Railway station to get on board the train to Haputale for a scenic and historical rail journey across tea fields, villages and forests passing waterfalls. You will be provided with a picnic snack pack to consume during the train journey. Our driver will receive you in Haputale train station and transfer you to a simple guest house in Haputale for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 - Haputale to Ohiya

After breakfast, you will be received by our trekking guide at the guest house to start an interesting walk across Haputale to Ohiya passing great scenic viewpoints, tea estate villages, rain forest patches along the rail roads and tunnels. On this night you will be staying in a remote trekker’s lodge closer to Horton Plains NP and is a very remote location. So, the accommodation is very basic but situated in a stunning location amidst remote villages. Dinner and overnight stay at remote trekker’s lodge.

Day 5 - Horton Plains

After a hearty breakfast, trek through the forest to the main road which leads you to the entrance of Horton Plains NP for a nature trail inside Horton Plains NP to see World’s end point and Baker’s waterfall. That is not all, Horton Plains is an ecologically very important place in Sri Lanka as all most all rivers starts its flow from Horton Plains. Scenic grassy plains, Pigmy forests and montane forest where Leopards, Samber deer and many varieties of birds call their home. After you explore Horton Plains NP, you will be transferred back to remote trekker’s lodge for some relaxing time followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 - Bambarakanda waterfall

After breakfast, you will be walking the last sector of this active adventure passing some of the very scenic view points and remote estate villages along your way to Sri Lanka's highest waterfall, Bamabarakanda. Working tea estates, remote villages, estate workers and their children are some of the interesting things you could encounter. You may bring some candy, pens and pencils if you wish to gift them to village children who will wholeheartedly appreciate it. Just before Bambarakanda waterfall, there is another waterfall called Lanka waterfall where you could have a swim at the base and enjoy a picnic lunch before reaching Bamabarakanda. Our driver receives you near Bamabarakanda waterfall and transfer you back to Colombo.
