Itinerary idea in detail

Day 1 - Negombo
Arrival in Colombo International Airport and meet with our driver. You will be then transferred to Negombo, just 20 minutes' drive away from Colombo International Airport. You will be staying in a small guest house in Negombo, very closer to the beach, restaurants and pubs. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure chilling out by the pool or by the beach before the start up of your tour in Sri Lanka on the next day.

Day 2 & 3 - Kandy
On day three you will be driven to the most culturally important city of Kandy where Lord Buddha's tooth relic calls home, approximately 3 ½ hours drive. Rest of the day you are free to explore Kandy town and visit to Temple of Tooth relic on your own and our driver will be at your disposal for commuting to desired sightseeing locations. You will be staying in a family run small country house with in close proximity to Kandy town. (About 2.5 kms to Kandy town)
On day three our specialist guide will pick you from the hotel to go for a rural countryside village walk in the foothills of Knuckles mountains where you would be able to witness unspoiled village life. You will be walking across Forest patches, gushing streams, terraced rice fields, Kandyan home spice gardens and Tea plantation patches all the way to rural mountainous village where you will be served a home cooked lunch at village home. After returning to the country house you are free to spend time at leisure chilling out by the pool.

Day 4 - Nuwara Eliya
On day four, get on board the scenic train from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya at 8.45 AM. This train journey is approximately 4 hours running through Tea estates and hill country villages and is a not to miss experience when in Sri Lanka. This railway track was built by the British's bring the Coffee/Tea harvest to Colombo port, so this train journey is a trip back in time. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, the Tea capitol of Sri Lanka, you will be visiting a Tea estate for Tea study tour to get the first hand experience how world's best Tea, Ceylon Tea is produced. You will be staying in a small bungalow closer to Nuwara Eliya town. In the evening you may either relax in the bungalow or why not take a leisurely stroll in the chilling climes of Nuwara Eliya exploring the bazar and market? Or have a chilled beer in a dodgy bar in the town. Nuwara Eliya once was the summer retreat for British and Scottish planters in the colonial days and to date you would be able to witness the remnants of colonial past.

Day 5 - Yala
Today, it's a quite a drive to the south of the Island, approximately 5 hours but a very scenic journey as the landscape change from misty hill country to dry low country when reaching Yala NP, home for many wild species such as Leopards, Elephants, Sloth Bears and many varieties of birds.
Upon arrival in Yala, take a Kayaking trip in a scenic lake near the safari lodge that you will be staying for the night and enjoy the sunset from a nearby Island and Kayak back to the safari lodge to settle for the night.

Day 5 - Galle
Take an early morning safari game drive in Yala NP to try your luck to see a Leopard or two, even Elephants or Sloth Bears. Our safari jeep will pick you at 5.15 AM from the safari lodge and you will be returning to the lodge again in time for a late breakfast.
Head to southern capitol town of Galle, 4 hours drive approximately is your last station of the trip. Upon arrival in Galle, start exploring Gall Dutch Fort, an architectural masterpiece built by the Portuguese during the colonial days and was later renovated and used by the Dutch. Watching sunset over the ramparts of Galle Fort is a mesmerizing experience. You will be staying in an old Dutch styled Guest House inside Galle Fort.

Day 7 - Departure
Last day of your holiday in Sri Lanka, before heading to Colombo International Airport, explore the local fish and vegetables markets in Galle town, an interesting experience to watch local people and understand their way of life. The trip ends when you are dropped in Colombo or Colombo International Airport.
